BASSMASTER – FEB 1998 ISSUE
“When fishing stained or muddy water, fishermen know lure vibration is important. The LineDancer is designed to add this erratic vibration as the angler retrieves his lure with a spinning reel. LineDancer is a stainless steel line guide that forms an open-ended loop. As your line passes through the guide, it jumps up at the open side of the loop, forcing your lure into varied movements. The device clips to a rod below the eyelet closest to the reel. For more pronounced action, place the LineDancer very close to the reel. It’s available in three sizes to fir most spinning rods.”

The Tackle Tester
by Dave Mull
“I admit doubting that a LineDancer would be worth clipping on a spinning rod, but after testing it, I can see how its worth using. It attaches between the reel and the first guide and it adds action to your lure. While I don’t understand the physics, the thing does work. It is coated with plastic where you attach it to the rod to avert scratching the rods finish. After casting, you put your line in the groove on the LineDancer and start a steady retrieve. The angle of the line causes it to come in jerkily – and transmits the jerks to the lure. It really gave a buzzbait a neat action.”

LURE VIBRATION
I caught a bass while using the Linedancer on a fairly weedy, relatively shallow lake. It added considerable action to the rod tip and lure. I found it particularly effective when fishing rattle lures.

The LineDancer made the tip of my rod move left and right. The closer I moved the LineDancer to my reel, the more pronounced the vibration at the rod tip, which caused the same effect to the lure moving through the water.

PRODUCT REVIEW : LINEDANCER
“As most anglers know, no matter how you slice it, proper lure presentation is key to catching fish. The Linedancer simply installs on your spinning rod between the reel and the first eye. Cast your lure normally, and before you retrieve, place the line in the open-ended loop of the Linedancer. Now just retrieve your lure. You will be able to actually feel and see the extra action that is being transmitted to your lure.”
“LineDancer is not only helpful to both amateur and experienced anglers, it is ideal for children. Accomodates most spinning rod shafts.”
